1 yearfoundation year first, then the full degree
- No A levels needed
- Experience counts
- £0 upfront
How it works
- Year 1 is a foundation year: study skills, writing and your subject basics.
- Then you carry on into the degree, at the same university.
- Most courses ask for GCSE English and Maths (or equal) and a short interview.
Who pays
When the foundation year is part of the degree course, Student Finance can pay both straight to the university. The foundation year usually costs less: up to £5,760.
Good to know
- Your work and life experience count.
- An adviser helps with the application and the interview, free.
