What it covers
- Tuition: up to £9,790 a year, paid straight to the university.
- Living costs: up to £14,135 a year in London, paid to you. It depends on household income.
Who usually qualifies
- You live in England and have British or Irish citizenship, settled status, ILR or other eligible status.
- You have lived in the UK for 3 years before the course (the rules differ for some statuses).
- It's your first degree.
Paying it back
You repay 9% of what you earn over £25,000 a year. Earn less, and you pay nothing.
When to apply
Apply as soon as you've chosen a course. You don't need a confirmed place, and it takes at least 6 weeks. We help with every step.
